This site has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not collect your name, email or any other personal information.
Where your progress is kept
Lessons completed, quiz scores, XP, streak, flashcards, memorised sentences and the name on your certificate are stored only in your own browser (localStorage). They are never sent to us or anywhere else.
Offline cache
To open quickly and work without internet, the lesson files are cached in your browser. This cache contains no personal information.
Outside services
- Pronunciation uses your device's own Mandarin Chinese speech voice; some devices may use their built-in speech service for this.
- Stroke-order animations use the open Hanzi Writer library, loaded from the jsDelivr network.
- The site is hosted on GitHub Pages; like any website, the host may keep standard technical logs.
What we never do
- Show ads or use tracking cookies or analytics.
- Sell or share your information.
Your control
- To clear your progress: Settings → "Reset progress".
- Clearing this site's data in your browser also removes everything. Progress does not move to another phone or browser.
